Peaceful Hearts Georgina Foundation is pleased to present our first cookie decorating workshop! We are very happy that Syen owner of Cookie Tells will be hosting our workshops. She is very talented and detail oriented with this craft. We look forward to hosting other workshops as the seasons change. We just recently celebrated our one-year anniversary and we are extremely proud to have received the 2019 Non-Profit and Accessibility Award for Georgina. Our day program for special needs adults is thriving. Thank you for all of your community support! Partial proceeds raised from this event will go towards our Day Program for art and craft supplies. Have you ever wanted to learn how to create beautiful cookies with icing like a professional? Learn from Syen @CookieTells on how to decorate a variety of Valentine’s Day-themed sugar cookies with royal icing for you to gift to your loved ones (or treat yourself!). Syen will guide you through mastering techniques with different icing consistencies including outlining, flooding and piping details. You’ll have time for hands-on learning with one-on-one time. This class is perfect for beginners, so no experience is required! It also makes for the perfect Valentine’s Day gift or Valentine’s Day outing with your besties! Tools & supplies included: • 6 pre-baked vanilla sugar cookies + royal icing provided • Piping bags/icing tips • Coffee/Tea • Lovely treat box to bring your cookies home • Recipe sheet for sugar cookies & royal icing • A custom decorated sugar cookie for you to enjoy! • A mystery gift to take home! About the Facilitator: Syen – CookieTells with a slogan “Every Cookie Tells a Tale” is a B&A Teacher by day, and Baker by night specialized in creating fun and cute sugar cookies! She runs the IG account @CookieTells, where she shares her creations and love for baking with her community. Syen began her baking journey over 7 years ago, where she was able to combine her love of art with her love of. She enjoys decorating cookies and believes cookies should be not only delicious, but also aesthetically appealing. You will not want to miss the 2nd Annual Peaceful Hearts Tarts 4 Hearts Buttertart Festival. Last year this incredible happy event SOLD OUT of 8000 buttertarts in 3 hours. This year we have double the SUGARY goodness. We are so pleased and proud to bring this event to the Town of Georgina that supports our special needs community along with enriching our local tourism. This event brings Ontario bakers and thousands of tarts, amateur baker contest, musical entertainment, shop a busy market with retailers, artisans, café and food. There will be a state of the art Accessibility Washroom Trailer on site and includes extra wide aisles for wheelchair access. Admission – $1 for adults/ FREE up to 18 years. SPECIAL NEEDS AND CAREGIVERS ENTER AT NO CHARGE. This year we are looking forward to also be able to support a local organization within our community, more information will be released, stay tuned for updates.

The 1st Annual Charity Golf Tournament benefiting Peaceful Hearts Georgina Foundation and Routes Connecting Communities.

Peaceful Hearts Georgina Foundation is a charitable organization that provides Flex-Model day programs for a diverse group of special needs children, young adults aged 6-29 years. In January 2019 they opened their first program in the heart of Keswick at 183 Simcoe Avenue.

Routes Connecting Communities is a York Region community based not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping people get to where they need to go since 1988. Our services provide people dealing with life challenges timely, safe, affordable and compassionate transportation.
